1. Definition of stereotype in general

    Stereotype is other view's a group and generalize about something.

2. Kind of stereotype in Japan

    1) All Japanese people eat sushi

Sometimes people outside Japan (foreign) think that all of Japanese people eat sushi. That thinking is very wrong. It is true that sushi from Japan but not at all Japanese people eat sushi. There are even Japanese people who don't like sushi.

    2) All Japanese people smart in math

It is true that in Japan there are some famous university in math majoring. Therefore, many people think that all Japanese people smart in math.  This thinking is very wrong. Same like in Indonesia or even other countries that in there, there are some students/people who don't like math.

 3) All Japanese people like and love anime

Anime is cartoon or animation origining from Japan. There are many people in world like anime. Sometimes people outside think that all of Japanese people like anime. It is wrong thinking. There are several Japanese society who don't like anime or never watch anime.

    4) Like 'Kawai'

There are some people who think that Japanese woman obsessively love kawaii (cute). In fact, there is still an Asian belief that the younger girl is, the adorable they are. At the same time, Japan is increasingly global now. This causes Japanese women to want to show their more mature side instead of their cute side.

    5) Always working hard

Japan is famous for the hard work of an employee at a time of duty. It is true but sometimes Japanese people are just human being too. They must be tired as well.

3. Definition of Prejudice in general

    Prejudice is  opinion or feeling formed beforehand or without knowledge, reason, or thought. Unreasonable feelings, opinions, or attitudes especially those of a hostile nature related to religion, ethnic, racial, social group.

4. News of prejudice in Japan

1)Antilocutionary Prejudice
    Antilocution is talking to one's own friends or others about attitudes, feelings, opinions, and stereotypes about a certain group of people. According to Boyd (Sendjaja, 2004: 316), antilocution is the free expression of antagonistic feelings. The antagonistic expression in question is a feeling of dislike towards a person or group of people which is implemented verbally.
2)Self-Avoidance Prejudice
    Avoidance is the attitude of avoiding every opportunity to meet and communicate with a group of people who do not like
3)Discriminatory Prejudice
    Discrimination is an attitude of differentiation through active actions. For example, not allowing people from groups that are not desirable to work in a certain field of work, or take part in certain activities
4)Physical Assault Prejudice
    Physical assault is a form of physical violence that is driven by emotion, for example, evictions, beatings and other forms of physical violence

      Yes, I had read few articles about it too and we think it can be called by stereotype too.
      Japanese is famous for their suicidal activity but I think not at all Japanese people like this too.

      why many Japanese people choose not to married? I think because that some people in Japan think that building a relationship is just waste of time. Some people think that they didn't have many good opportunities to meet someone as well. This situation can occur because they are busy at the office.

      I want to ask if it is true Japanese people are very polite? I think it depends of every person. Like in our country, not at all person polite, right? Of course if we meet for the first time we have to show up how polite you are.
